I spent four years in B2B sales before I built any of this. It is not the usual route into writing software, and it turned out to be the useful half: the job was working out what someone actually needed, which is a different skill from building it — and the one most tools get wrong first.

Mudry started with a folder holding several thousand files and an afternoon lost to sorting them by hand. The tools that existed wanted an account, showed ads, or moved files without saying where they went. So I built one that previewed everything first, then found the next annoyance and built something for that too.

Everything on this blog is written from that position: I am the person who had to solve the problem before writing about it. Where a guide recommends one of my own apps, it says so, and it says what the app does not do. Where the honest answer is a free tool that isn’t mine, the article says that instead.

I use AI the way I use any other tool — to move faster and to try ideas that would otherwise cost a week. It is not the product, and you will not find it bolted onto an app that did not need it.
